Volunteering in Kenya

Material collection campaign

Dear families,

As you well know, from June 15 to 29 some students who finished 2nd this year. High School students will travel to Kenya to carry out volunteer work in the villages of Limuru and Maramba.

I take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous participation in the activities that we have been developing at school throughout the year in order to be able to raise money: the Infantile and Primary Christmas party, with the postcards, the bread and bar raffle; the solidarity breakfasts on Thursdays; the solidarity bracelets, Sant Jordi's roses and bookmarks, the Got Talent and the solidarity race.

In this final stretch they want to do a collection campaign of various materials, which we will leave to the families there and to the schools where we will go to work.

Clothes and shoes: that they are in good condition, both for men and women, for boys and girls or babies. No winter clothes. In order to facilitate our selection, we would greatly appreciate it if it were clean, neatly folded in a bag and labeled if it is for a child or an adult.

Medicines: they must be the basics of a medicine cabinet. Cotton, gauze, scissors, bandages, plaster, paracetamol, eye drops, chlorhexidine, etc.

School supplies: pencils, pens, erasers, pencils, rulers, colored pencils, notebooks, erasers, etc.

As we do with the collection of the Christmas Campaign, we will place boxes in each classroom so that you can leave what you want. The campaign starts today, Thursday, May 25 and will close on June 9.

Thank you very much for your cooperation. Receive a warm greeting,

Esther Latre
