GENERAL - Visit the Mathematics Museum in Les Alzines!

This Saturday, April 20, Les Alzines will be adorned with the arrival of a unique event: the inauguration of the 1st micro-performance of the Museum of Mathematics in Girona. The organization of this remarkable activity has been possible thanks to the generous collaboration of the Museum of Mathematics of Catalonia (MMACA), which starts with this exhibition the project "El mmaca a tocar, apropa't al maca!".

This event is part of the celebration of the 2nd provincial phase of the "Fem Mates" and "El Tour de mates" contests, organized by the Federation of Entities for the Teaching of Mathematics in Catalonia (FEEMCAT) and by the Association of Mathematics Teachers of the Girona counties (ADEMGI). Proudly hosting this exhibition, the school becomes a meeting point for the fascinating intersection of art, science and mathematics.

The opening ceremony, scheduled for 11.30 am, promises to be a memorable event with the participation of some local authorities, who will share their vision and enthusiasm for this educational and cultural initiative.

Located in the Mar del Nord and Mar Roig classrooms of the Primary building, the exhibition offers a captivating journey through the world of mathematics, presenting complex concepts in an accessible and engaging way for all ages. For those interested in exploring the exhibition in more depth, there is the opportunity for a guided tour (by appointment) on the following days: Wednesday 24, Thursday 18 and 25, Friday 19 and 26 and Monday 22 April, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This option will allow visitors to discover the most fascinating secrets of the exhibits, with detailed explanations and curiosities that will enrich the experience.
