AMPA - Book and Uniform Bank

Dear families,

As the 2025-2026 academic year comes to an end, the AMPA of Les Alzines is pleased to reflect on a very positive year in which it has continued working alongside families and the school, managing educational, technological and training resources.

With the aim of helping families save money and promoting sustainable habits, we are launching a new edition of the Book and Uniform Bank, an initiative that encourages the reuse of materials for the coming academic year. For this reason, we encourage all families, whether you use the service or not, to contribute by donating any books and uniforms that your children no longer need because they will not be reused by younger siblings.

BOOK COLLECTION

From 8 June until the end of the month, students from Year 3 of Primary to 2nd Baccalaureate may hand in books that they will no longer use at the designated collection points.

Families who received books through the bank last year must return them. Failure to return the books will result in the loss of access to the book bank next academic year.

In Primary, teachers keep a record of students and borrowed books. When returning books, students should inform their class tutor and place them in the boxes provided in each classroom.

For ESO and Baccalaureate, Roser Juanola will be in the ESO entrance hall during the final teaching days at 11.00 am to collect books. Students must bring them personally to the collection point at the specified time.

We would also like to remind all students in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 of Primary who have taken home Catalan Language or Spanish Language textbooks that they must return them to the school, as they form part of the classroom teaching materials funded by the AMPA.

UNIFORM COLLECTION

From 8 June until the end of the month, you may place uniforms that are still in good condition and suitable for reuse in the collection containers provided by the school.

You will find three collection trunks located around the school: one at the Early Years reception, another on the walkway connecting the Early Years and Primary buildings, and a third on the walkway between Primary and ESO.

For Baccalaureate tracksuits, there will be a dedicated collection box located outside the library.

BOOK AND UNIFORM BANK: ACCESS AND DELIVERY FORM

To be eligible for the Book Bank, families must complete this FORM before Monday 30 June. One form must be completed for each student. Once submitted, you will receive an automatic confirmation email. We recommend keeping this email in case any issue arises on the day books are distributed. If you do not receive the email mentioned above, please contact us by calling the school on 972 98 06 06.

No form is required to access the Uniform Bank.

The distribution of books and uniforms will take place in the school library on Friday 10 July, from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm. Requests outside this date and time cannot be accommodated. Books will only be distributed to students whose registration has been completed through the form.

Each student may only receive books corresponding to the year group they will attend. We ask for your understanding and patience, as we are not always able to obtain all the copies required and aim to distribute the available materials as fairly as possible.

We hope this initiative continues to be useful for many families and, at the same time, helps us pass on values such as responsibility, reuse and care for resources to our children.
