As we have done for years, we are organizing a stay in Ireland for students currently in 6th grade of Primary and 1st year of ESO. This stay will last 9 weeks during the final trimester of the school year.
Each student will live with a family and attend daily classes in an Irish school. Additionally, a tutor will accompany the students throughout the stay, coordinate with families and the school, and provide personal attention to each one.
The selection of schools and families is carried out by SLS (Shandon Language Solutions), an organization with extensive experience in organizing student stays, which also supervises their care during their time in Dublin.
Our experience from previous years compels us to be very selective when choosing the students who can participate. Parents must be well-informed and accept the guidelines outlined in a document that will be provided during a personal interview with the school coordinator.
The necessary conditions for students are:
- Good grades throughout the school year, as students will follow the content of the Irish educational system. In addition, in Dublin, they will need to work on certain subjects whose content will be provided by the school.
- Character and maturity appropriate for their age, ensuring good behavior at school and the ability to adapt to new environments and customs they will encounter and live with for an extended period.
- A sufficient level of English to hold a basic conversation. Without this, students take a long time to begin communicating with their host family, making integration more challenging and hindering their ability to follow classes in English.
Parents interested in receiving more detailed information are invited to attend the general informative meeting on January 28 at 8:30 PM in the Library.
We kindly ask you to confirm your attendance via this form by Thursday, January 26.
