4 th ESO - Cultural and recreational trip to Madrid

Dear Families of 4th ESO,

As mentioned in the parents’ meeting last September, this year, as an extraordinary activity for 4th ESO, a cultural and recreational trip to Madrid has been organized for May 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th. The dates have been changed because the original ones coincided with the mandatory Basic Skills Tests for 4th ESO.

Below, you will find the detailed itinerary for this trip:

Itinerary

Monday, May 5th

7:00 AM: Departure from Les Alzines school by bus.

12:30 PM: Stop in Zaragoza to visit the Basilica of El Pilar and have lunch (packed lunch from home).

8:00 PM: Arrival in Madrid.

9:00 PM: Dinner. Overnight stay.

Tuesday, May 6th

9:00 AM: Breakfast and tour of Madrid. Visit to the Royal Palace and surroundings.

2:00 PM: Free lunch (not included).

4:00 PM: Visit to the Prado Museum, Retiro Park, and surroundings.

8:30 PM: Return to the residence.

9:00 PM: Dinner. Overnight stay.

Wednesday, May 7th

9:00 AM: Breakfast and departure to Toledo. Visit to the city: Alcázar, Cathedral…

12:00 PM: Entry to the Puy du Fou park. Lunch and dinner included. Evening show “El Sueño de Toledo.”

10:30 PM: Return to the residence. Overnight stay.

Thursday, May 8th

9:00 AM: Breakfast, packing, and departure to Girona.

Stop in Zaragoza for lunch. Free lunch (not included).

Continuation of the journey to Girona.

9:30 PM: Approximate arrival time in Girona.

Price and Conditions

The trip will cost approximately 375€.

The price includes:

• Bus service for the group throughout the trip, in compliance with current regulations.
• 3 nights at a residence on a half-board basis: dinner, accommodation, and breakfast.
• Visit to the Royal Palace and Prado Museum.
• Entry to Puy du Fou park and the "El Sueño de Toledo" show, with lunch and dinner included.
• Travel insurance.

To confirm attendance:

Once the authorization is signed and delivered to the tutor, you can make a payment of 160€ as a deposit before Tuesday, December 10th, via bank transfer to one of the following accounts:

Please include as reference: "Madrid" and the student’s full name.

Alternatively, you may pay via POS (credit card) at the school’s central office, also before Tuesday, December 10th.

If a student cannot attend, the deposit will not be refunded to cover fixed costs. We will inform you about the remaining balance to be paid once the final number of participants is confirmed and the total cost per student is calculated.

Additionally, from this moment until the trip, if a student accumulates three behavior incidents, they will not be allowed to participate, even if the deposit has been paid.

Please confirm attendance by delivering this authorization to the tutor before Tuesday, December 10th.
